Repair Classes

For Women

Learn practical home repair skills in small, supportive groups while working on real projects in real homes. Build confidence, gain experience, and connect with a community of women who’ve got each other’s backs.

You're not the only one who feels this way

Many women own homes but were never taught how to repair or maintain them. Calling a contractor for every little thing can be expensive, frustrating, and sometimes intimidating.

Fix It Sisters was created to change that.

This is a space where women can learn practical home repair skills together — without judgment, without pressure, and without pretending you already know everything.

Learn By Doing

Fix It Sisters offers small-group, hands-on home repair classes designed specifically for women.

Instead of watching someone else do the work, you’ll use the tools yourself and learn how things actually work.

Classes are hosted in real homes and focused on repairs that genuinely need attention, giving you practical experience you can apply again and again.

Small Classes

Because learning is easier in a small group.

Our classes are intentionally limited to four women so you can slow down, try things yourself and build confidence in a supportive, judgement-free environment.

Hands-on Learning

Real tools. Real repairs. Real confidence.

Every class is built around doing the work together so you leave with skills you can use in your own home.

Community Building

More than a class - It's a community.

By learning in each others homes, you're building relationships with woman you can call, text and lean on the next time something breaks.

What Our Customers Say About Us

I highly recommend working with Peret at Fix It Sisters if you want to learn how to repair things with confidence. Her instruction is clear, patient, and incredibly practical. She has a talent for breaking down complex repairs into simple, manageable steps, making it easy to follow along—even if you have little to no experience.

What really stands out is her hands-on approach. She doesn't just tell you what to do—she explains why it works, which helps build real understanding and long-term skills. She is also very encouraging and never makes you feel intimidated or rushed, creating a comfortable learning environment. -Jayne

Fix It Sisters is an outstanding resource for women looking to learn how to fix things themselves! Peret is extremely knowledgeable, a good communicator, and creates a safe and welcoming environment. The small group setting is a wonderful way to approach the projects as everyone has different questions allowing for a more robust learning environment. I’ve participated in several projects and was able to translate that experience to successful projects in my own home!  Super cool!!  I highly recommend giving Fix It Sisters a try, you won’t regret it and you may end up fixing it all!  -Kris

Meet Peret

I've spent the last 30 years working as a handy person in many different ways. I started out as a painter and gradually took on all kinds of odd jobs, driven by a deep curiosity about how things work and a genuine love of working with my hands. Most of what I know, I've learned by doing. When I bought my first home, it became my classroom. Every project, repair, and mistake taught me something new and pushed me to keep learning. Along the way I also discovered a love for teaching as a yoga instructor, where I learned how powerful hands-on supportive learning can be.

Through my own experience, I've seen how often women aren't taught basic home repair skills - or encouraged to learn them. I know how disempowering that can feel, and I also know how transformative it is to gain that confidence.

Fix It Sisters brings together my passions for home repair, teaching and helping women feel capable in their own homes. My goal is simple: to create a space where woman can learn, try, ask questions, and leave knowing they can handle more than they thought.

More than a class - It's a community

When women learn together, something powerful happens.

Classes are intentionally small so everyone can participate, ask questions, and support each other. Over time, you build connections with women who understand homeownership and aren’t afraid to learn something new.

You leave not only with new skills, but with people you can call when something breaks.
